Quick Tip: Nonverbal Faux Pas To Avoid Making On Video Calls

While the rules of an in-person conference are fairly straightforward, minding your “Zoom manners” can be a bit trickier.

Although you might be more inclined to relax and forget the norms of proper meeting etiquette when you’re on camera in the comfort of your home office, it’s still important to present a professional image to your colleagues, even in a virtual environment.

Not Using The “Raised Hand” Feature

Failing to use the “raised hand” or a similar feature is a common faux pas.

It’s also an excellent way for the leader to monitor who is not participating and invite them into the conversation. - Lisa Walsh, Beacon Executive Coaching
